
Gabrielle A.C. Thomas’ Bio
Gabrielle A.C. Thomas is a commercial litigation attorney who provides comprehensive legal services to businesses involved in complex disputes. Gabrielle provides a compassionate client service with assertive advocacy. Gabrielle’s combination of academic excellence, international experience, and diverse legal expertise makes her an asset to clients navigating complex commercial litigation matters.
Gabrielle currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Caribbean Bar Association. She earned her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of Miami School of Law, where she distinguished herself as a Miami Public Interest Scholar and Soia Mentschikoff Scholar. As a native of Jamaica, Gabrielle brings a unique perspective to her practice. She worked in the legal department of the Bank of Jamaica, where she helped implement procedures to ensure compliance with International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) recommendations. Her international experience also includes work with the United Nations, Inter-American Commission, and Lancet Commission.
During her tenure in law school, Gabrielle’s academic pursuits extended beyond the classroom. She authored a law review article titled “Establishing a Future-Proof Framework for AI Regulation: Balancing Ethics, Transparency, and Innovation,” which explores the impact of AI on the business and legal profession. Additionally, she contributed to numerous law review articles on civil litigation and drafted corporate presentations on AI technology, privacy, and cybersecurity. Further, Gabrielle took on leadership roles as President of the Caribbean Law Student Association, Vice President of the Human Rights Society, and Legal Fellow in the Human Rights Clinic, developing skills in immigration law and client advocacy and care. Her gained experience in complex business transactions and litigation; immigration; malpractice; receivership; in-house banking; housing disputes; and personal injury.
Outside of her legal practice, Gabrielle maintains an active lifestyle. She enjoys playing tennis and soccer, practicing yoga, appreciating the local art scene, and exploring the natural beauty of South Florida.
