Hanit Lyla Simon is a Family & Matrimonial attorney, bringing top legal representation to individuals throughout the State of Florida in adoption, divorce, paternity, actions for protection against domestic violence, actions for modification of alimony, child support, parenting plans, negotiation of marital agreements, and related areas of Family Law practice.

Hanit began her legal career as a prosecutor for the State Attorney’s Office in Miami-Dade County, where she was awarded the Spirit Award for outstanding courtroom performance. Hanit went on to practice in civil litigation with a focus on business and real estate but found her calling in Family Law after having the privilege of representing military service-members and veterans for the United Way of Broward County. Hanit brought her strong litigation skills, diverse legal experiences, and dedication to her clients into private practice, where Hanit has been a zealous advocate for over a decade. Hanit remains fiercely committed to improving the lives of individuals and their families in Family Law matters.

In addition to practicing Family Law, Hanit has presented as a speaker on Family Law topics to the Judiciary of the 17th Judicial Circuit for the Broward County Courts, Broward County Bar Association’s “Raising the Bar” Seminar, Legal Aid Service of Broward County, and local law schools. Hanit has served as a past chairperson for the Florida Bar Grievance Committee, authored articles on the topics of trial and settlement in dissolution of marriage actions for Florida Bar publications and is the recipient of a Rising Star award presented by the Florida Bar Family Law Section, where Hanit serves on committees contributing to advancements in the law.
